At the time I am writing this, we are in the middle of a pandemic and many of our church buildings are closed for worship. Some people are struggling with this because worship needs to take place in a church building.
Or does it?
Besides the theological reasons, there is also the historical perspective. The earliest Christians did not meet in a church building but in homes.
The earliest church building that we are aware of is the Dura-Europas church from the mid-third century. Even then, the building is a house that was converted into a church building.
Early Christians did find without their own building and modern Christians will do fine during this lockdown.
