Many people are aware of the Council of Nicaea in 325, which gave us the Nicene Creed. Fewer people are aware that the form of the Nicene Creed we have now came from lesser known First Council of Constantinople in 381. This was an important council that helped clarify the nature of the Holy Spirit and the doctrine of the Trinity.
